Florence Street Corner

Side Street in Florence

Medium: Line and Wash in Watercolour

I went to Florence with two of my sisters in 2002 and took a photograph of a street corner. Not your average street corner of course with this marvellous statue and moldings. I think it’s the blend of the medieval with modern that is part of this city’s charm. Plus the ice cream, museums, sculptures, and pizzas. Everything. We visited the Uffizi gallery and it was here that I was introduced to my first artwork by Caravaggio.

More recently I turned it into this little line and wash. Florence, unforgettable.
