Inspiration is like Waiting for a Bus... ✨️

You wait for ages, and then, three ideas turn up at the same time!

I watched 'Secrets of the Museum, - behind the scenes at the Victoria and Albert', which sparked an idea.

Laid out on the floor was an ENORMOUS silk panel that was being restored. It formed part of an even larger piece that featured in an exhibition of Iranian Art and textiles.

I was drawn to this huge triangle.
FINALLY, my first proper idea in ages!

So the result is a collection of Seven Abstract watercolours I've started work on this week. You could say it's been 12 years in the making. 🙅‍♀️ And I've got so many ideas I can't keep up with them! 💥

The first one features patterns inspired by Gustav Klimpt.

I can't wait to get started on the next one!

Taking time out in between spinning lots of plates!

I'm on a quest to develop my new career as a self-taught Visual Artist. That means learning about landing pages, filming videos, and learning how to use A.I. as well as updating my website. It's relentless at the moment, so I took the opportunity to sit in the garden and slow down even for 30 minutes. Oh, and I'm creating my very first Art collection!

My task list is as long as yer arm!! 🤦

Is it just me on a hampster wheel?

$Time to Contemplate and Connect This weekend, I'm thinking about contemplation and switching off to recharge my batteries. This artwork reminds me of a story about Sir Isaac Newton. When he was 17 and a student at Cambridge University, he bought a Prism at the Stourbridge Fayre. Back in his lodgings, he closed the blinds - apart from allowing a single beam of sunlight to peak through - 🌞 He watched the light from the sunbeam reflected and refracted through the Prism, producing a rainbow of colours all around. This experiment ultimately led to his discovery of the spectrum of light and the Colour Wheel. 🌈That's the unscientific version of the story by the way! This Tudor window at Montecute House in Somerset is the perfect spot to pause, reflect and contemplate.
