The Heritage Collection

I’ve gathered a small collection of my early works into one quiet corner of my website.

Painted between 2020 and 2022, the Heritage Collection marks a pivotal turning point in my art journey.

Unable to travel during those years, I began searching for inspiration closer to home—digging into old photographs from family holidays and weekend getaways. These familiar scenes became my way of exploring a new path forward.

Around the same time, I decided to leave acrylic painting behind for ethical reasons and embrace watercolour as my primary medium. I was especially drawn to the simplicity and charm of line and wash, a technique that let me rediscover places I loved in a fresh, expressive way.

These five paintings are a result of that period: a mix of nostalgia, experimentation, and the beginnings of a new creative chapter. One original remains available; the rest can be collected as fine art prints.

Florence Rooftops

Painted from the top of the Duomo, where my sister and I stepped into a warm breeze and a breathtaking view over Florence.

Florence Street Corner

Discovered while wandering through Florence—this quiet statue stood tucked into a recess behind a church

St Pancras Renaissance Hotel

Captured on a trip to London – the grand entrance to this gothic masterpiece

Neuschwanstein Castle Bavaria

My childhood was filled with Wagner’s Operas and stories of Mad King Ludwig – this is his fairytale castle in the mountains and always reminds me of those colourful evocative days

Tudor Window – Wolf Hall

Painted from a photo taken at Montacute House in Somerset—this beautiful mansion, used in the BBC’s ‘Wolf Hall,’ is steeped in the historical drama and intrigue from the reign of Henry VIII.
